Slow Pour is a bar built for pause, for records playing just loud enough, for a glass poured with intention, for the kind of conversation that drifts into hours. We like wine that’s wild, beer that’s rare, and snacks that hit just right. Everything rotates, but the mood stays the same: warm, a little nostalgic, and quietly dialed in.
We’re an independent beer bar in Edmonton’s Westmount neighbourhood, with a particular affection for lager and the small rituals that make it better. Lukr side-pull faucets, wet foam, Hladinka and Šnyt, Kölsch by the stange, cask ale when the week calls for it. The beer list moves well beyond lager, but careful service stays at the centre of it.
Alongside the taps you’ll find natural wine, cocktails, amaro, cider and a small snack menu built for staying awhile. Nothing here asks for much ceremony. Order at the bar, find a seat, move it around if you need to.
Music has slowly become part of the architecture too. Records play almost every day through our vintage sound system, with full-album listening nights, live jazz tucked into the corner and plenty of evenings where the record simply gets to finish. We’re a beer bar first and perhaps a Listening Bar second. The musicians get a lamp, the records get turned up, and everyone else gathers around.
Slow Pour is casual by design and particular where it matters. Good lager. Good sound. Good glassware. A little food. Something interesting open. A place to come for one and occasionally notice that a few hours have gone by.
